Having been first elected as Mayor of the City of Aurora in 2001 and to the City Council in 1995, Mayor Seeman is now in his third term as Mayor.

Mayor Seeman his wife Nancy and have lived in Aurora since 1972 and both of their professional careers were as public school teachers here in Hamilton County. Marlin has greatly enjoyed teaching and has been involved in many community-wide leadership opportunities throughout his career.

“It has been my privilege to have worked with leaders of the past, learning their ways and values as well as seeing the new leaders of tomorrow step forward to assume their place in our community’s future” states Mayor Seeman.

Mayor Seeman also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska League of Municipalities and the Aurora Area Chamber and Development as well as having served on numerous social, church, educational, and community organizations’ boards and committees.

Education: BS, MS, EdS, Degrees from UNL

Military service: US ARMY 1967 VIETNAM

Hobbies: Outdoor Sports, hunting, fishing, and football.
